Road to Silicon Valley (R2SV) is a series of talks that will be held monthly as a lead up to the global competition where a selected team from a Zimbabwean University will represent Zimbabwe at the Enactus World Cup. The Zimbabwean teams get together in July at a National Forum where they pitch before a panel of judges explaining the various projects and businesses they started to solve community problems in ZIMBABWE using entrepreneurial action but ensuring that the projects are socially, economically and environmentally sustainable (3 P’s People, Profit and Planet). That National Competition leads to a winner being selected to represent ZIMBABWE at a global platform were 36 country representatives will take part, Zimbabwe being one of those countries.

Historically, different countries bid to host. In this case, the Enactus America Office won the bid to host the World Cup and they will be having it in Silicon Valley. This is a strategic decision as they hope to attract investment in the projects and also sponsorship and partnerships in Silicon Valley which remained untapped for the Enactus Family.

Why?
With this in mind, the Enactus Zimbabwe office decided to have different organizations host “Road to Silicon Valley “events until October, 2018 when the World Cup will be held. These series are for the Enactus Students, partners, institutional stakeholders as well as our corporate and other partners to come through and learn more about the journey. Share experiences as well as discuss topical issues as it pertains to technology and its impact on businesses.

How can you get involved?

  1. Host
