2017,09,22 | Leave a comment The BOOST Fellowship is seeking 2017-2018 attachment students for its Green Jobs Internship Program. Green jobs are green when they help reduce negative impacts on the environment and lead to environmental, economic and socially sustainable enterprises and economies. The initiative seeks to create employment in the renewable energy value chain. We seek candidates strongly motivated to make a difference, contribute towards the green economy and the promotion of Sustainable Development Goals. Females are strongly encouraged to apply. Intern Requirements Understanding of Environmental Health and Safety standards e.g ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems. Understanding of environmental issues e.g. climate change, global warming, safe chemicals management, waste management, water, renewable energy and biodiversity. Must have an understanding of global problems related to the environment . Must have understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Understanding of Environmental Policies and Legislation of the Republic of Zimbabwe as well as International instruments. Problem solving skills. Ability to work in a team. Analytical skills.
